BRUTUS

Brutus likes mass. A rosewood, brass and lead-shot platter employs a magnetically-levitating inverted bearing, powered by an asynchronous motor which enables an exceptionally silent, stable rotation. A ruby unipivot tonearm bearing provides nearly frictionless movement, and it's 12" wenge arm pairs perfectly with the legendary Denon DL-103R cartridge. All this is set atop a 130# concrete plinth, this turntable sucks up any ambient vibration through its massive body to create clean, dynamic sound. As a bonus, it's massive body acts as a built-in security system for even the most ambitious of thieves.

LAYLA

Layla, like the unnamed objet du desir of a young Eric Clapton's eye, is the story of an unrequited love with a beautiful piece of wood. A hand-carved claro walnut stump creates a supple, flowing beauty on it's french-polished top. The charcoal aluminum platter is powered by a hysterics-synchronous motor embedded in a separate brass and steel pod, which isolates the turntable from any incidental vibration. The walnut plinth is set atop three angled steel legs, while  a 12" brass and striped ebony tonearm brings dynamic musicality to the composition. And unlike the ultimate disintegration of Clapton and Boyde's marriage, playing this turntable always has a happy ending.

PAPA BEAR

Inspired by the great outdoors and mountains of the Sun Valley region, the Papa Bear turntable embraces both power and mass through its dynamic composition. The platter is made of Cocobolo, a Mexican hardwood prized for its stability and acoustical properties, and set atop a concrete plinth split in two. Inspired by the notion of tectonic plates, the concrete schism separates the motor pod from the platter to reduce vibration transfer. The primary tonearm components are all matched of solid brass, while the tonearm wand is turned by hand from Gaboon Ebony, a rare and beautiful black wood prized for its jet black coloration and density.
